Upcoming Job Developers Institute: In Your Community |
“Today, the challenges and opportunities of the job developer are greater than ever, and the need for… services is felt more acutely by those we serve. Never has there been a greater need for job developers to take an intelligent, business-minded, proactive and revolutionary approach to creating employment opportunities in our local communities”
- Denise Bissonnette
Job development plays an important and ever-increasing role in today’s employment agencies, yet little formal training is available to assist the job developer to become effective in his or her position. Combining 2-day face-to-face training with additional on-line study, the main purpose of this 45-hour certificate course is developing and maintaining strong employer relationships.
Professional Development for Job Developers
- Learn the critical elements of job development
- Advance your career with college-level learning (PLAR eligible)
- Join a thriving online community of practice
- Receive recognition with the Certificate of Completion
The Institute is based on a college-level curriculum and two days (9 hours) of face-to-face instruction. The Institute also offers an optional extended online component, involving active online discussions and weekly self-reflective assignments on your experiences as a Job Developer.
Completion of the full 45-hour course provides participants with PLAR eligibility and a Certificate of Completion. Both seasoned professionals and new Job Developers will leave the training with a new outlook on the pivotal role they play in their organization’s success.
