Our Research

Evidence builds on First Work’s history of undertaking research focusing on issues related to youth employment in Ontario. The goals of its research are to:

  • address the needs of youth
  • build a knowledge base that they can share with community organizations, governments and members of the general public.

Evidence primarily conducts qualitative research using a participatory approach and is developing its expertise in arts-based methods such as case stories, photovoice and life mapping.

Evidence’s projects meet stakeholders’ information needs by adjusting the scope according to their resources, while building their capacity to conduct their own research.
