Youth Employment Job Development (YEJD)
Funded by the City of Toronto, the Youth Employment Job Development (YEJD) project provided a link between community-based organizations actively interacting with employers, in an attempt to influence opportunities and increase employment placements for « at risk » youth. Four regional committees (North, South, East and West) and one central committee were created to assist with the streamlining and improve coordination of job development.
Volunteer Youth in the Millenium
First Work and 10 of its member agencies embarked on the development of a new youth-focused volunteer program, the Volunteer Youth in the Millennium Project, to increase the number and diversity of youth volunteers.
Shared Resources Database Project
The Online News and Resources Pilot Project is designed to enhance the technological capacity of the youth employment network across the Province by collaboratively providing accurate and up-to-date information to youth online.
The Online News and Resources Pilot Project will be designed to enable 10 Youth Employment Centres to easily post and share information between web sites, building agencies’ online services for youth.
