Writing a Resume
Resumes are like a first meeting with an employer. Based on what they see on your resume they may decide that you look like the right person for the job, or that they don’t need to see you “again”.
Creating a great resume is mostly about writing down what you know and where you’ve worked or volunteered. The other (just as important) part is about making the resume “fit the job” you’re applying to. There are lots of tips and tricks that can be used, but at the end of the day you just want employers to notice all the good things on your resume that they want in their employees. Your employment counsellor and your youth employment centre’s resource room are great supports for this work!
